There is a clear and urgent need for more trauma-informed support for youth and families. Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and McKinsey Health Institute collaborated to develop a free, interactive training series for educators and supportive adults, focused on equipping them with the foundational knowledge and trauma-informed skills needed to support youth.

The Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) provides care for children who have experienced child abuse. Its vision is to assure safe, healthy and nurturing families and communities where all children can achieve their full potential. The Center’s public health initiatives recognize all types of trauma and works to improve development and health through a strengths-based approach. Along with the Mayerson Center, CCHMC's Community and Population Health division and its Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology division worked on this initiative.

The National Council for Mental Wellbeing advocates for policies to ensure equitable access to high-quality services, builds the capacity of mental health and substance use treatment organizations, and promotes greater understanding of mental wellbeing as a core component of comprehensive health and health care. Through the Mental Health First Aid program, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing has trained more than 2.6 million people in the U.S. to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges.

Society For All

Society for All (SOFA) is a Czech non-profit that strives for a society where quality education is accessible to everyone, and where people feel good, have a place, and have the chance to reach their full potential. Its main areas of interest are quality and accessible education for all, mental health and helping children at risk. SOFA adapts and tests proven methodologies from abroad, offers a wide range of support to teachers and other pedagogical-social professions, and consults on policy and law.
